🦐Crystal red shrimp

Graded C through SSS based on pattern coverage and clarity. Requires soft acidic water through active substrate and remineralised RO water. Hugely popular in Japan and Germany for decades now.

Specialized bee shrimp foods, biofilm, blanched soft vegetables. Less is more with feeding to maintain water quality.

Female carries 20 to 30 eggs for around 30 days. Do not disturb the tank during this period. Fry are tiny and need biofilm to survive their first weeks of life.

C grade: mostly red with little white. B grade: better defined pattern. A grade: good bands. S grade: clear bands. SS grade: nearly full coverage. SSS grade: perfect pattern with highest value.
