🦐Red cherry shrimp

The definitive beginner shrimp. Red colour intensifies with a good diet, dark substrate and low stress. Breeds prolifically and the colony will grow quickly into the hundreds. Excellent algae cleaner.

Specialized shrimp pellets, blanched vegetables like spinach or zucchini, algae wafers and biofilm naturally occurring in the tank.

Females carry eggs under their abdomen for 3 to 4 weeks. Keep conditions completely stable during this period. Fry are miniature versions of adults and need no special food whatsoever.

Graded by colour intensity from low grade pale pink through to high grade deep solid red. Higher grade shrimp command higher prices in the hobby.
