Eel like bottom dweller that hides in substrate and plant roots during the day. Groups of 3 plus needed. Fine substrate essential. Nocturnal but very entertaining to watch at dusk.

Sinking pellets, frozen bloodworm, bottom feeder tablets. Feed at night when most active for best results.

Rare in home aquariums. Eggs deposited among plant roots near the surface. Very difficult to trigger successfully.
